The Institute for Multi-Sensory Education presents it's updated Orton-Gillingham methodology for use in the general classroom. General classroom teachers find our Orton-Gillingham methodology a pleasure because it gives them the tools to work with children who's reading skills rank them in the bottom third of their class. When children are having difficulty learning to read, they quickly fall behind in all their classes and frequently never catch up.  In addition the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education offers teacher development workshops in modern and comprehensive Orton-Gillingham  for special education teachers, paraprofessionals,  and reading tutors. IMSE is also involved with  curriculum development in reading instruction. 

Currently we offer an Orton-Gillingham  product developed for concerned parents to use with their children in the homeschool setting. This is a highly structured, multi-sensory, and phonics based tutorial called "Sensational Strategies for Teaching Beginning Readers." Parents have had great success with this product.  Parent see their children quickly acquire the reading skills they need to succeed.  

Title 1 funds are indicated for teacher development programs offered by IMSE.  The institute wants all  elementary children at grade level when they enter the third grade. We recognizes the importance of early intervention.We regularly customize our staff development trainings for the special needs of each individual school district. The Institute for Multi-Sensory Education's  research based updated and comprehensive Orton-Gillingham methodology is the answer for remediation of at risk students. Orton-Gillingham techniques are the answer for giving assistance to children who are below grade level or who have dyslexia, learning disabilities, or other abnormalities impeding them from learning to readWe believe that all children benefit from phonics instructuonIMSE's programs are easily incorporated into your current reading curriculum.
